What kind of photo works best?
A clear, well-lit photo of your child's face, looking at the camera. Just one child in the picture, no hats or sunglasses, and not too far away. A recent phone photo is perfect.
When will my book arrive?
Ebooks are ready within a few minutes and we email you a download link. Printed books are made to order: printing usually takes a few business days, then shipping time on top. You'll see the shipping options and estimated delivery at checkout, and we email you a tracking link when it ships.
Can I order it as a gift and ship it to someone else?
Yes. Enter the recipient's address at checkout. Add a dedication message so they know who it's from.
What if a page doesn't look right?
Tell us and we'll redraw it free. If we can't make it right, we'll refund you. Damaged printed books are replaced at no cost.
What happens to my child's photo?
It's used once to create the storybook character, then deleted, always within an hour. We keep the cartoon character (not the photo) for 90 days so we can fix pages if you ask, then delete it too. Privacy policy.
Which ages are the stories for?
They're written to be read aloud to children aged about 2 to 7, and they're short enough for bedtime.
Do I have to upload a photo?
No. If you'd rather not share a photo, choose "Design their look" and answer five quick questions (skin tone, hair colour, hairstyle, eye colour and glasses). We'll paint a storybook character to match, and you'll see it free before you pay.
Can I make books for more than one child?
Of course. Each book stars one child, so make one for each grandchild. After your first order you'll get a sibling discount on the next ones. They'll love comparing.
